A statement from our President, Brad Collins
As President of the Coalition for a Conservative Majority-Colorado Springs (CCM-COS), I feel it necessary to outline our values, beliefs and goals.
We purposely incorporated the word conservative in our organizations name. The reason this was done is in no uncertain terms did we want any ambiguity or uncertainty by individuals or other organizations on the values and foundation that drives our organization. We unapologetically espouse conservative values. We define conservative values as those in the Constitution as well as the philosophies of our founding fathers that shaped this nation.
We believe the United States is a sovereign nation and should stay sovereign, we believe in property rights; without property rights freedom is compromised, we believe individual freedom is the catalyst that promotes prosperity, we also believe our rights come from God.
The leadership of CCM-COS as well as the members commitment to the conservative movement is absolute and without compromise. Our group was established under the same concerns that many other groups like the Tea Party Movement, The 912 Project as well as others. We are concerned about the direction of the country; we are tired of elected officials ignoring the will of the people as well as numerous other issues.
While we can’t endorse specific candidates as part of our 501c4 status, we can highlight a candidate’s platform and actively engage in the political process. Our goals involve educating people on the founding principles; identify issues at the local, state and national level that are contrary or beneficial to the conservative cause and encourage action; and keep the conservative movement in the forefront. We gladly support any organization with similar goals and encourage those organizations to become part of the coalition dedicated to fighting the government tyranny facing America today.
